What Information Is Permanently Deleted
Upon account deletion, Aura permanently erases:
- Profile Information: Your display name, age, birthday, gender, bio, relationship goals, mood badges, and interests.
- Photos & Media: All profile pictures, prompt photos, and selfie verification media.
- Interactions: All mutual match records, likes, superlikes, and chat message histories.
- Technical Identifiers: Device push tokens, IP address logs, and location coordinates.
Statutory & Safety Retention Exceptions
In accordance with statutory consumer protection and safety laws:
- Financial Receipts: Past subscription transaction IDs are retained for statutory tax, billing, and accounting auditing purposes as required by Google Play and tax authorities.
- Safety & Banned Device Records: If an account was permanently banned for egregious safety violations (such as harassment, fraud, or child safety violations), the phone number and device fingerprint are retained on a restricted safety blacklist solely to prevent banned offenders from re-entering the community.
